As a program associate with the Center for Government Leadership, you will play a critical role supporting the Partnership’s leadership programs including the Excellence in Government Fellows program, Leadership Seminars and custom trainings with a variety of federal agencies. A program associate will largely work with a program manager and the CGL team on a range of activities to deliver leadership programs.
The Partnership’s Government Transformationand Agency Partnerships (GTAP) team works with federal leaders and agencies to tackle the government’s toughest management challenges, including human capital management, agency strategic planning, and organizational change. This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity to help improve programs that touch the lives of millions of Americans.
As a Program Associate for the GTAP team, you will work on a variety of tasks that primarily include planning forums and seminars, logistical support, and project management, as well as assistance in marketing, business development, client presentations and trainings, consulting projects, classroom facilitation, communications and writing, and coordinating with a diverse network of federal and corporate partners. You will also support the team that produces the Best Places to Work in the Federal Government® rankings by helping to develop and implement projects to address significant issues confronting employee satisfaction in the federal government.
The Program Associate will be responsible for assisting the Government Transformation and Agency Partnerships team in developing and implementing assessment tools for the federal acquisition workforce. The Associate will serve as the organizations main point of contact in its work with the program participants. The Associate will be primarily working on-site with the project team, and occasionally working from his or her home office.
This is a 4-month contract position, with potential for 2-year extension.
The Partnership is seeking an entry-level researcher with a strong commitment to public service to help carry out a broad spectrum of research projects designed to improve the effectiveness of government and government management. The Research Associate will play a key role in producing and promoting a variety of research products, from issue briefs, literature reviews, and reports, to launch events, roundtables and symposia.
The Partnership provides medical, dental, and vision coverage to its employees. The Partnerships pays 90% of an individual health care premium and also subsidizes a portion of the premium for child, spousal, or family coverage. Health care coverage begins from the date of hire.
The Partnership offers a 401(k) retirement plan with a 4% employer match.
Flexible Spending Account
Partnership employees have the option to participate in a flexible spending account (FSA) and set aside pre-tax funds for medical, transportation and dependent care expenses.
Each full time employee is eligible to accrue 15 days of annual leave per year. After two years with the Partnership, employees accrue up to 17 days of annual leave per year.
Each full time employee is eligible to accrue 10 sick leave days per year.
Administrative paid leave is provided, in addition to annual leave, and sick leave for such things as medical appointments, family emergencies or meeting repair or delivery persons at home.
The Partnership recognizes 11 paid holidays, including the day after Thanksgiving.
Life and Disability Insurance
The Partnership covers its employees with a life insurance policy that will pay an amount equal to an employee’s annual salary, up to $110,000, to designated beneficiaries. The Partnership also provides long and short-term disability insurance for employees.
The Partnership will subsidize 50% of the cost of the building’s gym membership.
