President Obama and Congress Declare First Week of May as Public Service Recognition Week

WASHINGTON – On May 3, a coalition of 17 good government organizations will launch Public Service Recognition Week 2010, according to the nonprofit Partnership for Public Service and Public Employees Roundtable, organizers of the initiative. The nationwide public education campaign will honor the men and women who serve our nation as federal, state, county and local government employees and ensure that our government is the best in the world.

Roadmap to Reform Report Lays Out Critical Government Management Reform Recommendations for the Next President, Treasury Officials, and Transition Teams

WASHINGTON – On Wednesday, October 1, the Partnership for Public Service will release Roadmap to Reform: A Management Framework for the Next Administration in concert with key government reform groups including the National Academy of Public Administration, the Council for Excellence in Government, the Coalition for Effective Change, the IBM Center for The Business of Government, CNA, and the Center for the Study of the Presidency. The report sets forth consensus recommendations for the next President, transition teams, and Treasury officials.
