Professional Development for our Higher Education Network – Join the Federal Advisor Certificate Program!

Join us on Thursday, Dec. 14 at 12 p.m. EST on LinkedIn Live, to hear from the Partnership for Public Service’s Federal Workforce Programs team.

They will provide an overview of the Federal Advisor Certificate Program, an initiative created for higher education professionals, which enables participants to become experts in all aspects of the federal hiring process and gain a deep knowledge of the wide range of federal career opportunities.

Participants will be able to hear from a panel from the fall 2023 cohort and ask live questions.

Meet our speakers

Bennett Nesley serves as an Assistant Director of Industry Advising at Villanova University’s Career Center, where he manages employer relations and conducts career coaching appointments with students interested in Nonprofit, Government, Social Impact and Communications, Media, and Marketing industries. He is also a recent graduate from Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Student Affairs in Higher Education Master’s program and is grateful that he has already had so many opportunities to serve students. Having started his career in personal publicity, he believes in the power of leveraging personal branding to allow students to make sense of their experiences, which allows them to identify and communicate their professional goals and make informed career decisions.   

Delainey Boyd is the Associate Director of the National Arts & Sciences Initiative at the Phi Beta Kappa Society. In this role, she champions the value of arts and sciences education and co-leads the Society’s Key into Public Service scholarship program. Delainey has a Master’s degree in Education Policy and is passionate about inclusive excellence. Her experiences working in the federal government help inform her daily work and she cares greatly about sharing opportunities in public service careers with current students and recent graduates.

Danica Harootian works with the Partnership’s Call to Serve Network, connecting higher education professionals and federal agencies to promote federal service and recruit the next generation of public servants. Based in Los Angeles, she also supports the Partnership’s work to reach federal employees and their partners on the West Coast. Danica’s professional background includes managing international education and global exchange programs, and her time with the Fulbright program motivates her work to improve pathways into public service. 

Katy Hogan leads the Partnership’s strategy to inspire the next generation to consider a career in public service. In her role, she manages several key federal internship programs and oversees the Call to Serve network of colleges and universities. Previously, Katy directed Ohio State University’s Washington, DC internship and fellowship programs through the John Glenn College of Public Affairs, welcoming 75+ students to Washington annually for career-launching internship experiences.
