The federal government faces many challenges in recruiting and retaining talent, with little opportunity to address them in a regional setting. The Partnership is launching the West Coast Federal Talent Consortium to address this issue. This consortium will bring together California-based thought leaders and practitioners in federal human resources, academia, community organizing, and workforce development to lead efforts aimed at filling the state’s federal talent gap.
Through the consortium, we aim to:
- Meaningfully connect federal agencies and sources of talent to discuss and address long-standing and timely human capital management issues.
- Develop approaches to solving the key challenges that inhibit federal agencies from successfully attracting, hiring and retaining quality talent in California.
- Help fill the federal talent gap in California by increasing knowledge of federal opportunities and hiring processes among those who work with job seekers.
Individuals can join the consortium and participate in quarterly meetings without cost. Register to receive more information about the consortium.
