KATIE MALAGUE RETURNS TO PARTNERSHIP FOR PUBLIC SERVICE TO SERVE AS VICE PRESIDENT FOR GOVERNMENT EFFECTIVENESS

WASHINGTON – The nonpartisan, nonprofit Partnership for Public Service today announced that Katie Malague has rejoined the organization as its first-ever vice president for government effectiveness. In this role, Malague will lead programs that improve government management and foster innovation.

“Katie Malague brings to the Partnership for Public Service an in-depth knowledge of the challenges facing the federal government in its efforts to serve the American people,” said the organization’s President and CEO Max Stier. “Her experience working across the federal enterprise makes her an ideal fit for this new position. With Katie returning to the team, the Partnership will be better positioned to achieve our mission, and we are honored to have her back.”

Since its inception, the Partnership has built a robust series of programs to improve our federal government’s leadership capacity, operations, and recruiting and hiring efforts in pursuit of its mission to make the government more effective. Malague will oversee the organization’s programs and initiatives focused on improving how government serves its citizens, encouraging the adoption of shared services, and strengthening government management.

With more than 10 years’ experience in the executive and legislative branches, Malague knows firsthand how vital the federal government’s services are to the American people. “I admire the millions of public servants who serve their country and their communities each day, often without recognition. I am grateful for the opportunity to work on their behalf and to advance the Partnership’s mission.”

Malague returns to the Partnership after serving as director of the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Strategic Planning and Performance Improvement, where she led Treasury’s efforts to strengthen strategic planning, improve business processes and implement major reform initiatives. In the White House Office of Management and Budget, Katie led cross-agency initiatives to improve federal program performance, management and efficiency. Prior to joining OMB, Malague spent five and a half years at the Partnership for Public Service. Earlier in her career, she was a manager in Accenture’s federal consulting practice and a staffer for a U.S. senator.

During the past 17 years, the Partnership has been dedicated to making the federal government more effective for the American people. We work across administrations to help transform the way government operates by increasing collaboration, accountability, efficiency and innovation. Visit opswebdev.wpengine.com to learn more.
