Momentum Builds for Updated Government Hiring Requirements June 29, 2020 The composition and capabilities of the American workforce are ever in flux, while hiring requirements for government contract positions and civilian posts are fixed and immovable. The U.S. government has historically loved its workers to have college degrees, and so college degrees are often required—even for jobs where a certification is more than sufficient.
