PARTNERSHIP FOR PUBLIC SERVICE STATEMENT ON 2019 FEDERAL EMPLOYEE VIEWPOINT SURVEY RESULTS

November 8, 2019

WASHINGTON – Partnership for Public Service President and CEO Max Stier released the following statement regarding the results of the Office of Personnel Management’s 2019 Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey – a vital tool for federal leaders to understand the experience of their employees.

“I am encouraged to see that the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey continues to show that the government’s employees believe the work they do is important, that they look for ways to do their jobs better and are willing to put in extra effort. It is now important to recognize all the federal agencies that have built a strong culture of employee engagement and for the rest of government to learn from their example. Thank you to OPM and the entire survey team for the important work that goes in to making the annual undertaking possible.”

Designed to alert federal leaders to signs of trouble and provide a roadmap to better manage our federal workforce, the Best Places to Work in the Federal Government® rankings will be released next month and are based on data from the annual federal employee survey. The rankings are produced by the Partnership and global management consulting firm Boston Consulting Group and are an important tool for Congress, the administration and agency leaders.
