Partnership for Public Service statement on the nomination of Laurel Blatchford to be controller of the Office of Management and Budget

WASHINGTON – The nonpartisan, nonprofit Partnership for Public Service released the following statement from President and CEO Max Stier on the nomination of Laurel Blatchford to be controller of the Office of Federal Financial Management at the Office of Management and Budget. 

“We applaud President Joe Biden for selecting Laurel Blatchford to be controller of the Office of Management and Budget,” said Max Stier, president and CEO of the Partnership for Public Service. “Laurel’s successful track record in government leadership and managing policy and budget priorities make her an excellent choice for this critically important job. We urge the Senate to quickly consider and act on her nomination.” 

The Partnership for Public Service’s 2020 Best Places to Work in the Federal Government rankings provide an array of data and insights regarding the Office of Management and Budget. 

Some key data points include:  

  • Number of employees: 478 
  • 2020 Best Places to Work in the Federal Government score and rank: 54.6 out of 100, ranking 29th out of 29 small agencies.  
  • Rank for responding to employee needs during the COVID-19 pandemic: 27th out of 28 small agencies.  
  • Number of positions requiring Senate confirmation: 8
