WASHINGTON – The nonpartisan, nonprofit Partnership for Public Service announced today that Loren DeJonge Schulman has joined the organization as vice president of research, analysis and evaluation. In this role, DeJonge Schulman will provide strategic vision and oversight of the organization’s research centered on improving the management and performance of the federal government.

“Loren DeJonge Schulman brings a deep understanding of what it takes to identify the challenges and constructively change the way our federal government works,” said Max Stier, the organization’s president and CEO. “DeJonge Schulman’s great capability and insights stemming from 15 years in the public and nonprofit sectors make her an ideal fit for this position. We are thrilled to have her on our team.”

In her role, DeJonge Schulman will be responsible for providing forward-thinking solutions to improve the federal government’s effectiveness and to hold leaders and agencies accountable for the health of their organizations.

DeJonge Schulman comes to the Partnership after serving as the deputy director of studies and Leon E. Panetta senior fellow at the Center for a New American Security. DeJonge Schulman also served on the National Security Council during the Obama administration and in senior staff roles at the Department of Defense. She is widely published, the co-host of the national security podcast, “Bombshell” and a senior editor at War on the Rocks, a forum for analysis, commentary and debate on foreign policy and national security issues.

“Empowering our government with the ideas, connections and people necessary to take on tomorrow’s challenges is both urgent and a remarkable privilege,” said DeJonge Schulman. “I am delighted to join the incredible team at the Partnership and to be a part of their efforts strengthening American democratic institutions.”
