Arwa Ahmed supports our Effectiveness in Government and Preparing to Lead programs, as well as various custom projects. She was raised by a community of public servants who instilled in her a deep love of all things service. Shortly after graduating from George Mason University, she joined the Peace Corps in Ethiopia, where she taught high school English and led a council that sought to improve the volunteer experience. Her time in the Peace Corps solidified her desire to make a career in public service. A lifelong nature lover, Arwa’s favorite public servant is John Muir, a preservationist whose tireless work led to the creation of our beloved National Parks.
