Colleen Cheslak coordinates the use of space in the Partnership’s popular conference center—both for Partnership programming and external rentals. She persistently collaborates with team members to ensure that all meeting needs are met with satisfaction. Her love of service can be traced to her time as a college student, where she served in various leadership capacities—including student government. She advocated for college women to run for leadership positions by serving as a liaison for her university’s AAUW sponsored event “Elect Her!” With a background in history, she has researched and relayed stories of the intricate development and growth of American democracy through her work at the American Battlefield Trust, American Red Cross, National Women’s History Museum, and the U.S. Capitol building. Colleen’s favorite public servant is Jeanette Rankin, who was the first woman elected to Congress and an ardent advocate for the 19th amendment.
