Margot Conrad Director for Government Affairs

Margot leads the Partnership’s effort to develop a new government reform vision in response to COVID-19. More generally, she advocates for policies to improve the way federal agencies recruit, hire and engage top talent. Raised by two public servants, she has always believed that government plays an important role in our lives and is reliant on a highly effective workforce to deliver critical services to the American people. Margot’s belief in government and appreciation for the work of federal employees grew when she had a chance to intern at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and later work at the White House Office of Management and Budget. Margot admires her father who spent much of his career working to improve the lives of others as a social worker for local government.
