Launched by the Partnership for Public Service in 2019, the AI Government Leadership Program educates senior government leaders on identifying opportunities for AI progress in their agencies. Building on the Partnership’s extensive experience delivering leadership development programming, along with support from Microsoft and Google.org, the program develops a community of leaders who are ready to guide their organizations’ AI strategy.

The AI Government Leadership Program consists of six half-day (3 hours) virtual or in-person sessions across six months. As this is not technical training, the program is designed to:

  • Educate decision-makers on the opportunities around AI.
  • Highlight best practices for how to make the case for and develop AI solutions.
  • Prepare leaders to incorporate AI technology into their strategies and equip their workforce.

We are offering this program at no cost to government agencies.

Please note that sessions are held at different times of day depending on their format. Applicants will select their preferred format attendance and remain in that cohort for the duration of the program.

  • In-person cohort sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to noon. EST at the Partnership for Public Service office in Washington, D.C.
  • Virtual cohort sessions will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. EST on Zoom for Government.

Application deadline: Aug. 15, 2025, 5 p.m. EDT
