Partnership for Public Service Code of Conduct In alignment with our mission of building a better government and stronger democracy, and in alignment with our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commitment Statement and culture statement, the Partnership for Public Service takes collective responsibility for creating, shaping and fostering the environment we want for our community. Fundamental to the mission of the Partnership is creating opportunities for those passionate about building a better government to connect, build knowledge and learn from each other. The Partnership holds events, roundtables and leadership training to help public service leaders strengthen their organizations and serve as stewards of public trust. Fulfilling our mission also means embracing diverse voices, perspectives and discourse within and outside of our organization. The Partnership for Public Service is committed to building a culture of inclusion. Our organization believes there is no place for hate, violence or inequality in our economic, social and civil systems, nor in our workplaces, and we unequivocally disavow all forms of racism, bigotry and discrimination. We expect all participants, facilitators and speakers, online or in person, to abide by this code. The Partnership reserves the exclusive and sole right to enforce its code of conduct. Expected Behavior We expect anyone participating in our community to: Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to discrimination and harassment. Treat others with respect at all times. Create a safe environment for participants, speakers, facilitators and Partnership employees by actively listening and valuing the contributions of others without judgement. Engage in constructive dialogue. Refrain from intentionally sharing rumors and disinformation. Embrace opportunities to learn with and from one another. Respect individual boundaries and understand that others may have boundaries that differ from your own. Not make assumptions about others’ backgrounds, experiences or identities. Foster an environment that does not tolerate discrimination, harassment or microaggressions. Respect individuals’ pronouns, accommodation needs and attire. Accept responsibility for your own behavior, words and actions. Unacceptable Behavior Harassment, bullying, microaggressions, intimidation and/or insinuations that are demeaning, discriminatory or interfere with staff, presenters and any other attendee’s experience or participation are unacceptable behaviors. If you witness or are subjected to unacceptable behavior or have any other concerns, please report it as soon as possible. Reporting Unacceptable Behaviors You may report unacceptable behaviors at any time.
