That’s what the Partnership for Public Service and Boston Consulting Group set out to understand in “A Prescription for Better Performance: Engaging Employees at VA Medical Centers.” We analyzed data over a three-year period from nearly 150 medical centers operated by the Department of Veterans Affairs, and found a strong correlation between employee engagement and higher patient satisfaction, better service and more talent retention.
