On Thursday, May 5, the Partnership welcomed the finalists from the 2022 Service to America Medals®, or the Sammies, to a reception on the rooftop of the Partnership’s new office at 600 14th St NW, Washington, DC. “You are extraordinary representatives of our public service, making a real difference for the American public at a critical time in our society,” Partnership President and CEO Max Stier said. Thirty of the 44 finalists Sammies attended the event, many traveling from outside the Washington, D.C., area. Others could not make it because of continued professional commitments, many of which were related to the work for which they were nominated. Partnership Vice President of Communications Samantha Donaldson (right) recognizes the finalists for the 2022 Management Excellence award. Joining the finalists were their families, supervisors, agency senior leaders and Partnership staff, all of whom celebrated the honorees’ exceptional contributions to their agencies and the nation. This summer, a select group of government, business, philanthropic, academic and media leaders will choose the winners of each Sammies category. The winners will be announced in September. Event attendees mingle on the outdoor rooftop of the Partnership’s office building in downtown Washington, D.C.
