Foundations in Public Service Leadership Program

During nine virtual classroom sessions, experienced instructors facilitate engaging conversations, activities and workshops to develop the skills needed to effectively influence others, lead teams and drive change within your agency. We are now accepting applications from leaders of teams, new supervisors, and technical experts who lead projects.

Preparing to Lead

This course is for GS-7 to GS-11 employees who want to become more effective employees and develop critical leadership, critical thinking and decision-making skills. We can also tailor a version specifically for your agency.

Leadership Coaching

We provide one-on-one, team and group coaching for executives, mid-level managers and aspiring leaders. These sessions encourage proactive change, help clarify values or beliefs and coach you on how to enhance capacity to lead within your organization. You will be matched with a coach who will help you identify critical management problems and guide you to handle them more effectively.

Leadership Assessment Sessions

Assessments are a great way to raise your self-awareness so you can work more effectively. Not only do you learn about your own leadership style, but you also illuminate similarities and differences with others to get to know them and strengthen the team. We have a variety of assessments, facilitated by experienced trainers who will help you interpret the results. Each session is a half-day, offered virtually with the assessment reports delivered individually to each participant.

• Engaging in Productive Conflict (uses Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument or TKI®)
• Understanding Ourselves and Our Colleagues (uses Myers-Briggs Type Indicator or MBTI®)

• Cultivating Relationships (uses Strength Deployment Inventory or SDI® 2.0)

Virtual Leadership Toolkits

Each of our toolkits includes five 90-minute sessions designed to enhance your management fundamentals, enable you to better lead people and help you to capitalize on your strengths.

  Learn the skills to effectively collaborate across locations, adapt your leadership approach, delegate effectively, develop an innovative mindset, and deliver effective feedback and accountability.

  Discover how values-based leadership, building trust and having difficult conversations are key factors in high-performing teams. You will also discover how active and curious listening and creating a healthy office culture are critical components to a positive work environment.
