For Public Service Employees Supervising in the Public Sector Supervising in the Public Sector is a two-day intensive certificate program is designed to deliver essential leadership development for new and experienced supervisors in government. Supervisors shape the employee experience—their actions directly influence morale, engagement and performance across government. As agencies face challenges with retention, morale and limited resources, effective leaders are essential to keeping employees supported, accountable and productive. Register now! Program details PDF Program Overview This is a two-day intensive certificate program for new and seasoned supervisors and leaders in government. By the end of the program, participants will: Understand how emotional intelligence positively impacts and builds a more cohesive team. Gain skills in creating mutual accountability and giving feedback. Increase their confidence in managing conflict and having difficult conversations. Learn strategies for motivating employees through challenging times. Time Commitment The program includes 45-minutes of asynchronous pre-learning and 2 days of live programming. The in-person program runs 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET and the virtual program runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET. You are expected to be present and engaged for the duration of the session and complete all pre-work.
