Best Places to Work in the Federal Government® presents Employee Engagement in the Future of Work

Accelerated by the global events of the last two years, the future of work has arrived at a dynamic, critical turning point for the federal government. Some agencies have found success in harnessing the innovation gained during the pandemic, while others continue to struggle to adapt to increasingly complex and ever-changing realities driven by cultural, social and technological shifts.

Imperative to success in the future of work is strong, innovative and generative leadership. Building on the success of last year’s Future of Work Executive Cohort, the Partnership for Public Service in partnership with BCG is hosting a new Best Places to Work in the Federal Government® workshop series in early 2023. This series is designed to convene federal leaders to strategize around how to drive employee engagement in the context of the demands and opportunities of the Future of Work.

The qualitative data gathered from these workshops will inform a federal agency employee engagement toolkit to be published by the Partnership and BCG in the summer of 2023. Workshop participants will have early access to the toolkit and receive recognition for their involvement in shaping it.

Dates

  • Workshop 1: January 25, 2023, 9 am – 12:30 pm EST

  • Workshop 2: February 28, 2023, 9 am – 12:30 pm EST
Using scenario discussions generated in Workshop 1, participants will use futures thinking to generate strategies and tactical tools to prepare today’s leaders for risks and opportunities associated with the future of work.
