Federal Human Capital Convening: Future of Work

This is the first Federal Human Capital Convening, an occasional opportunity for Chief Human Capital Officers and deputies from across federal agencies to share ideas, address challenges, and stay connected.

Our guest speaker will be futurist and leader of Microsoft’s Future of Work initiative, Matthew Duncan. Matthew’s team delivers the award-nominated WorkLab and produces the Work Trend Index, the leading barometer of work worldwide. For this session, Matthew will share recently published insights into how human-AI collaboration is reshaping the future of work. Facing rising complexity and capacity strain, workforces are adopting advanced AI – including agentic AI – to scale operations, reduce burnout, and drive productivity. Based on findings from Microsoft’s global 2025 Work Trend Index, learn how a human-led, AI-operated organizational model is offering a workforce transformation blueprint that can help organizations restructure teams, boost productivity, and meet mission demands more efficiently.
