PARTNERSHIP FOR PUBLIC SERVICE STATEMENT ON NOMINATION OF JEFF PON AS DIRECTOR OF THE

OFFICE OF PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT

WASHINGTON – Partnership for Public Service president and CEO Max Stier released the following statement applauding the nomination of Jeff Pon as the director of the Office of Personnel Management:

“Fixing the federal government’s broken personnel system requires a director of the Office of Personnel Management who can drive bold changes and understands the challenges that agencies face in attracting and retaining talented people. Fortunately for federal employees and those who care about an efficient and effective government, Dr. Jeff Pon’s deep experience, leadership skills, and first-hand experience with government’s talent issues make him a well-qualified nominee.”

During the past 16 years, the nonpartisan, nonprofit Partnership for Public Service has been dedicated to making the federal government more effective for the American people.
