PARTNERSHIP FOR PUBLIC SERVICE STATEMENT ON THE PASSING OF FORMER FEDERAL RESERVE CHAIRMAN PAUL A. VOLCKER

WASHINGTON –Today, our country lost one of its greatest public servants, Paul A. Volcker. Partnership for Public Service President and CEO Max Stier released the following statement following his passing.

“Paul Volcker was an extraordinary public servant who made a profound difference for our country and was the leading voice on the value of government service.  We are much the poorer as a nation with his passing.”

In recognition of his nearly three decades of distinguished public service, the Partnership proudly named its Service to America Medal for Career Achievement for Paul A. Volcker. The new Paul A. Volcker Career Achievement Medal recognizes federal employees who have led significant and sustained achievements over 20 or more years of service in government.
