From streamlining the approval process for new medical devices to speeding up passenger screening at airports to delivering quality customer service in the disability claims adjudication process, agency leaders are using data analytics to evaluate their programs, solve problems and improve their mission outcomes. On October 1, the Partnership for Public Service and IBM held a conversation with the Food and Drug Administration, Transportation Security Administration and Social Security Administration about steps they took to analyze their work using data, and how they used data visualization to assess problems and what caused them.
