Driving Cross-Government Innovation: Lessons Learned from the Tribal CX Pilot Team The Partnership for Public Service invites you to join us on Monday, December 9th from 12:00 – 12:30 pm ET for a YouTube Live panel discussion with the cross-agency, cross-sector team of federal leaders who piloted four groundbreaking solutions around post-award reporting to reduce burdens on Tribal Nations in fulfilling these requirements. The panel discussion will focus on the team’s recently published report “Tribal Customer Experience Pilot for Post-Award Reporting.” This event is a part of the Partnership’s work on “Conversations with Major Investment Leaders” that aims to develop an ongoing learning system of knowledge and expertise for implementing large-scale federal investment programs in two ways. Community convenings: A community of practice that convenes leaders and practitioners to address common challenges, shares promising practices and approaches, and builds cross-agency connections Resource development: Written resource development based on insights gathered from our community of practice and from our independent research. This events marks the first in a new YouTube Live and blog series in which we will amplify and celebrate standout examples of implementation excellence. Guest Panelists Andrea Sampanis, Grants QSMO Director – U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Andrea Sampanis is the Director for the Grants Quality Service Management Office (Grants QSMO), which has a government-wide mission focused on the standardization and modernization of the grants management IT systems environment. Andrea leverages her 20 years of public and private sector experience to enhance the QSMO Marketplace of both federal and commercial providers through data-driven grants ecosystem analysis. She also works to improve the grant applicant/recipient experience through multiple Customer Experience (CX) initiatives. The CX work done by the Grants QSMO led to their selection as a 2023 Service to the Citizen Award Winner and launch of the Federal Grant Systems Hub. She earned her Master’s of Public Administration (MPA) from George Washington University and her bachelor’s from Providence College. Jennifer Parisien, Policy Advisor, Department of Treasury Jennifer Parisien is currently a Policy Advisor at the U.S. Department of Treasury within the Office of Tribal and Native Affairs. In her role, she works on audit and compliance policy, advises on specific tribal issues, and works on Single Audit Act implementation and yearly compliance policy initiatives. Parisien is a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians. She is a graduate of Minnesota State University with a BS in Finance, and she holds a MS in Finance from the Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University. Natalie Rico, Tech Advisor, Internal Revenue Services Natalie Rico currently serves as a Tech Advisor at the Internal Revenue Service where she leverages her extensive executive and legislative financial management and budget expertise through enterprise-wide projects to advance IRS processes and procedures to support the delivery of transformational change for taxpayers. Natalie is passionate about improving government accountability, efficiency, and transparency. Natalie has a Master in Public Policy from Georgetown University and Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of California, Riverside. She served in the Peace Corps and is a Partnership for Public Service (PPS) Senior Excellence in Government Fellow.
