Media Advisory: Public Service Recognition Week event to celebrate young leaders, explore federal recruitment efforts

WASHINGTON – The nonpartisan, nonprofit Partnership for Public Service will host an event on Friday, May 12, celebrating Public Service Recognition Week (PSRW) and the young leaders who serve. With just 7% of the federal workforce under the age of 30, recruiting and retaining top talent of the youngest working generation must be a top priority for all government agencies.   

WHO: Agency leaders and rising stars in the career federal workforce will discuss the importance of recruiting and retaining young talent. Panelists include:  

WHAT: This event is part of Public Service Recognition Week (PSRW), an annual celebration of the contributions of career employees at the federal, state, local and tribal levels. PSRW has been recognized every year since 1985. The nonpartisan, nonprofit Partnership for Public Service is proud to support PSRW and celebrate the success of public servants.
