Partnership for Public Service Applauds Sen. Heitkamp’s Bill to Improve Federal Hiring

WASHINGTON – Partnership for Public Service President and CEO Max Stier released the following statement commending Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.) for introducing the Flexible Hiring and Improving Recruitment, Retention, and Education (Flexible HIRE) Act, which will create new hiring and pay flexibilities for agencies facing unique workforce challenges. 

“The Flexible Hire Act is a significant step forward in fixing our broken federal hiring process,” said Max Stier, Partnership president and CEO. “This meaningful legislation will improve recruitment and retention in places where unique events or the remoteness of the location impacts the ability of agencies to achieve their missions.
