Partnership for Public Service statement on the confirmation of Jamieson Greer as U.S. Trade Representative

WASHINGTON – The nonpartisan, nonprofit Partnership for Public Service released the following statement from President and CEO Max Stier after Jamieson Greer was confirmed by the Senate as U.S. Trade Representative.  

“As U.S. Trade Representative, Jamieson Greer will work with Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick to oversee President Trump’s new trade agenda. We are hopeful that he will play a constructive role in pursuing trade policies that benefit American consumers, businesses and our nation’s economy.”

Some key recent data points on the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative include: 

• 2023 Best Places to Work in the Federal Government overall score and rank: 60.8 out of 100, ranking 24 out of 30 small agencies 

• 2023 Effective Leadership Score: 70 out of 100, ranking 19 out of 30 subcomponent agencies
