In “Organizations Growing Leaders,” the author examines five organizations within the federal government-—the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Western Area Power Administration, the Veterans Benefits Administration and the Social Security Administration—that have created exemplary development programs for their future leaders. While each has undertaken the task in different ways, all have demonstrated a commitment to providing future leaders with development assignments, training, self development and other state-of-the-art leadership-development practices.
