David Brownstein leads the Partnership’s design of leadership development programs, provides individual coaching, and facilitates programs aimed at empowering government employees and teams to achieve their goals. David has extensive experience in organization development and human resources and has designed, implemented and delivered strategic organization development programs in more than 10 countries. He has led multiple companies through organizational changes, partnering with senior leaders to approach their initiatives focusing on employee engagement, empathy, inclusivity and accountability.

David helps clients understand how their personal growth also positively impacts those around them. This “pay it forward” mentality promotes a unified workforce and community for the client and helps them recognize their leadership potential. David blends his knowledge of leadership development best practices and coaching to create experiences that promote self-awareness for clients and their teams and ignite actionable next steps that support clients’ objectives long after their engagement.

Clients most often describe his approach as comfortable, practical, inspiring and fun.

Experience

Started his career in human resources and worked as a learning and development manager and organization development consultant, supporting clients on leadership development and workforce engagement.

Has facilitated leadership training covering emotional intelligence, innovation, managing change, accountability and more to over 6,500 people.

Over 10 years’ experience supporting and developing federal employees across all agencies as they navigate government’s unique culture and processes.

Personal

David lives in Maryland with his wife and two kids. He enjoys cooking and hosting large family dinners. He loves hockey (a Caps fan) and plays in a weekly rec league. He feels fully at home in the mountains and being outdoors.
