We empower government agencies and leaders to more thoughtfully deploy artificial intelligence and harness data to meet the public’s needs.

We have more than 15 years of expertise in facilitating and strengthening leadership transitions in government. We have helped presidential candidates from both parties, their teams and incumbent administrations plan for and implement a smooth and effective transfer of power. Building on this experience, we are also partnering with states undergoing elections and leadership transitions.

We advocate for reforms to improve the management of the federal government, including by providing technical assistance to policymakers across the political spectrum and by working with various stakeholders to create and advance proposals to improve the operations of the executive branch.

Our Government for a New Era initiative develops new ideas and action plans to make government more effective, responsive and accountable. Collaborating with policymakers, practitioners, stakeholder groups and members of the public across sectors and levels of government, we advance reforms in four main areas: leadership, hiring, performance management and technology.
