Support, Develop and Train Public Servants

We prepare public servants and public service leaders to meet challenges and create positive change in government as they work to deliver for the American public.

Our programming encompasses the broader civil service community, including federal, state and local leaders, who confront shared challenges and responsibilities. We also provide resources and guidance to current federal employees who are navigating a rapidly changing federal landscape, highlighted by recent efforts to reshape the civil service, or transitioning to a new career.

For former civil servants, we offer structured space and opportunities to support storytelling, policy and advocacy efforts aimed at building better government.

Why it matters

Public servants are the backbone of our country. Without them—and public service leaders of skill and integrity who drive strategy, vision and performance—our government would diminish, jeopardizing our health, safety and prosperity.

Today’s landscape demands public service leaders of integrity who possess the skills to navigate uncertainty, drive meaningful impact in service to the public good, and ensure their teams and agencies remain accountable to the public.

Now more than ever, government employees must also navigate extreme pressures as they work to meet their responsibilities to the American people. And for former federal civil servants, career transition assistance and opportunities to share their expertise in how to make government work better is critical.

Support Public Servants

Our resources help current federal employees navigate a challenging federal landscape—as they confront new changes to the civil service and either continue to serve our country or transition to new opportunities. As a hub for federal alumni organizations, we also provide a space for former public servants to stay involved in efforts to improve government.

Develop and Train Public Servants

Our Public Service Leadership Institute® develops, advises and connects public servants across government. The Institute shapes the future of public service leadership, equipping public servants and government organizations with the capabilities, insights and communities needed to achieve results and drive transformative change. We do this by offering leadership development programs, advisory services aimed at improving organizational effectiveness, HR and talent solutions, public service insights and structured communities of learning.
