Hannah is a coach and consultant on workplace culture, certified in applied positive psychology, the scientific study of well-being. She has supported Fortune 500 companies, nonprofit organizations, federal staff, electrical contractors, wealth managers, emergency medicine professionals and others. Her model of workplace culture, featured in Forbes, focuses on cultivating the conditions for staff to experience dignity, purpose, belonging, growth and joy.
Hannah’s federal experience includes managing a three-year multiagency initiative on the recruitment and retention of people of color and diverse talent; facilitating staff retreats on strategic planning and team building; researching and authoring a 50-page report on federal employee resource group management best practices; facilitating a six-month workplace culture roundtable learning series for National Park Service superintendents; serving as an advisor to NASA’s Astrophysics Division on the review of inclusion plans in scientific proposals; serving on a Forest Service advisory council on equitable distribution of funding; and leading training on leadership and workplace culture rooted in equity and staff well-being.
Hannah works with executives, team leaders and new managers on building the right relationships with their teams and with their work. Experience
After organizing a Hewlett Foundation-funded work-life balance retreat for women in conservation and reading through over 200 applications, she was struck by the huge need for better work experiences and inspired to get certified in coaching and in positive psychology. Regularly facilitates staff retreats on strategic visioning, team building and staff well-being. She has worked with organizations on developing organizational values, designed a community innovation and capacity building hub for foundation grantees, led inclusive management training and served as a culture strategist advising a chief culture officer, developing resources, designing a custom 360 assessment and facilitating the staff culture stewards team. Worked at the nexus of candidates and employers in the throes of the hiring process when she designed and managed The Bridge Program, a three-year public-private partnership that served as an equitable hiring pathway and a career navigation support hub for people of color and underrepresented communities in the environmental sector.
In 2016, she founded Pride Outside, the leading organization advancing LGBTQ outdoor inclusion initiatives with federal agencies and conservation nonprofit organizations. In 2017, she co-founded the LGBTQ Outdoor Summit, a conference bringing together LGBTQ environmental professionals to boost representation and inclusion in the sector.

Personal
Hannah lives in Washington, D.C., with her wife and a baby on the way! She is an all-American, two-time NCAA national champion and a U-23 world champion in rowing. She is fascinated by how we all navigate our career paths and has done over 300 informational interviews. Those conversations have led to getting hired, adopting someone’s cats, becoming a stand-up paddle board ambassador and volunteering at the World Ranger Congress, where she spent time with 300 park rangers from 90 countries. She led canoe trips in Canada and has been charged by a moose twice.
