On Thursday, June 4, 2026, the Partnership for Public Service will host an event for alumni of the AI Government Leadership Program in Sacramento, California. This in-person convening will bring together State of California program alumni to share lessons learned from AI work already underway, connect with peers across agencies and identify practical ways to advance responsible AI adoption in state government.
This event is an opportunity for you to hear from Amy Tong, former Secretary of Government Operations for the State of California and former CIO and director of the California Department of Technology. Discussion will span common priorities for public-sector AI leaders, including AI leadership competencies, data readiness and privacy, governance and oversight.
