The day kicked off with staff playing a Family Feud-style game.

On Monday, November 7, the Partnership held its first (mostly) in-person staff retreat in more than three years. More than a dozen fully remote employees flew in to join the more than 100 local staff to attend the one-day event, which featured plenary-style sessions with all staff, breakout groups, cross-team activities and more.

Virginia Hill, senior facilitator at the Partnership, led a session on mindfulness.

After a lunch of pizza and salad, Partnership staff bonded over board games, puzzles and open hangouts. To end the day, staff split into teams to participate in the reestablished Partnership “Olympics.” Events included hula hooping, beanbag toss and a modified version of curling that used quarters on top of a conference room table.

The day concluded with an onsite happy hour and the first all-staff photo taken in many years. It was a great way for staff to reconnect (or connect for the first time), learn more about each other and take a relaxing break from work.
