The danger of delaying the presidential transition: Trump is playing with fire as he thwarts Biden

The General Services Administration has an obligation under the law to acknowledge the victor and immediately provide Biden, the evident winner of the election, with transition support. This includes access to federal agencies, the use of secure facilities for classified briefings, national security briefings, federal funding and the commencement of background checks for top Cabinet nominees and others who require top-secret clearances.
