Managing Change in the Moment, is a self-paced leadership development course for anyone interested in leading in the public sector.

For all federal, state, local, and aspiring public servants, this self-paced eLearning course equips leaders with the tools to recognize and respond to change in real time. Designed with mid-level managers and individual contributors in mind, the course focuses on strengthening your ability to lead with clarity, empathy, and intention during periods of transition.

You’ll explore how individuals and teams experience rapid change and learn how to identify and address the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that influence performance. With a focus on practical strategies and neuro-leadership techniques, you’ll be better prepared to create alignment, boost engagement, and sustain momentum during times of uncertainty.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Support others through change using neuro-leadership techniques
  • Communicate in ways that promote engagement from colleagues

Course Structure

This course consists of eight lessons completed through our eLearning Platform. It includes engaging and interactive course content and activities designed to help you apply key concepts from Managing Change in the Moment in a real-world context. Through scenarios, reflection prompts and knowledge checks, you’ll explore practical strategies for leading your team through change with confidence and clarity.

Who is Eligible to Apply?

eLearning courses and certificates are designed for all public service leaders, HR professionals and employees in state, local and federal government. Offerings may be recommended for specific types of leaders (e.g., emerging, leader of projects, leader of leaders or leader of organizations). But other leaders may also sign up.

What application materials must I provide to be eligible?

You are required to submit one letter of reference from your immediate supervisor.

Am I eligible?

Everyone is eligible to participate in our courses, whether you are a current or former government employee, aspiring to be a government employee, or interested in learning about the unique challenges and opportunities of government work.

How will I know if I have signed up for the course correctly?

After purchasing a course, you will receive an automated message from our eLearning platform with a receipt and instructions on how to create an account.

Can I share course access?

No. Sharing courses with others is prohibited. We ask users to keep their login credentials to themselves. (Terms of Use)

How much does the course cost?

This course costs $195.

Can I purchase a course on behalf of someone else?

Yes, you can purchase a single course, or multiple “seats” for a single course or certificate program. Upon payment, you will be emailed a list of voucher codes that allow users to gain access to the course.

When is payment due?

Payment is due before you create an account and start a course or program. In lieu of direct payment, potential users (or those purchasing multiple seats) can request an invoice for their organization to process. Following the confirmed payment from an invoice, an automated email confirming receipt, a voucher code and steps to create an account will be emailed. What forms of payment do you accept for tuition payment?

We accept the following forms of payment:

  • Credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express)
  • Purchase order or Standard Form 182 (SF-182)
  • Automated Clearing House (ACH) transfer or check
For how long do I have access a this course?

You have access to this course for 60 days after enrollment. You’ll retain access to all materials for 1 additional week after your 60 days have ended.

I am no longer able to complete a course, will I receive a refund?

All eLearning course purchases are nonrefundable. Once a course has been purchased, no refunds will be issued.

Where will sessions take place?

All courses are in Moodle, an online learning platform that hosts all the course materials, activities, and resources you will need. After you have purchased your course and set up your account, you will be able to access your course content, participate in discussion forums, complete course activities, and track your progress. Our course is organized into modules and every module has several lessons.

The course is asynchronous. This means you can start and stop the course on your own time as long as you complete it before your access expires.

Can I take the course using any device?

While you can use any device including laptop, desktop computer, phones, and tablets, we highly encourage the use of laptops or desktop for optimal user experience. We are working diligently to improve the mobile and app users experience.
