Contact Jordan LaPier Director (202) 495-3320 jlapier@ourpublicservice.org Sarah O’Hagan, nonprofit leader, joins Partnership for Public Service board of directors June 9, 2025 WASHINGTON – The nonprofit, nonpartisan Partnership for Public Service today announced that Sarah O’Hagan has been elected to its board of directors. “Sarah’s personal commitment to uphold democracy is needed now more than ever,” said Max Stier, president and CEO of the Partnership for Public Service. “Her strong leadership has made her a compass for many organizations, and we are honored to have her join our board of directors.” “It’s a great honor to serve on the Partnership’s board and raise public awareness about the necessity for an apolitical civil service,” said Sarah O’Hagan. “I’m committed to advocating for our government and the millions of federal employees to truly make our government better and out democracy stronger.” “Sarah brings strategic vision and practical experience to our board,” said Tom Bernstein, chairman of the Partnership for Public Service. “Her genuine commitment to creating positive change in everything she does will be a great asset to the board and organization.” O’Hagan serves as vice-chair of the board of trustees of Johns Hopkins University, board member of the International Center for Transitional Justice and the founding board chair of The Fuller Project for International Reporting, a nonprofit newsroom dedicated to journalism on women. She also serves on the board of directors of the Louis and Nancy Hatch Dupree Foundation for the Afghanistan Center at Kabul University, and serves as chair emeritus of the International Rescue Committee, which she co-chaired from 2010 to 2016. O’Hagan is also a former chair of the board of advisors of the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
