Domenick Capomolla is the facility manager for one of our Science Centers located in Milford, CT. For more than a year he was detailed into the Branch Chief position while maintaining his own responsibilities as the facility manager. Domenick graciously continued the Branch Chief duties even after his temporary promotion expired. He repeatedly told me he just wanted to ensure the facilities team was taken care of and kept making progress. As Branch Chief he was responsible for the oversight of our five locations in CT, NJ, RI, MA and ME. Domenick continues to be a team player by helping the newly hired Branch Chief get settled in his new position and transferring the historical knowledge he has accumulated over the past year. I don't even want to think what could have been the condition of the facilities program had Domenick not stepped up to take the lead.
I am truly grateful for your unwavering commitment, professionalism, and dedication. Your tireless efforts may go unnoticed, but please know that your work does not go unappreciated. You are the backbone of our society!
Mr. Hunt is an amazing supervisor and goes above and beyond to train everyone on the team to the extent that they feel comfortable in their job duties and understand why they do what they do. He is always upbeat and willing to help at any time. One of the best supervisors of my 24 Government year career.
I wanted to take a moment and express my gratitude to the team of professionals that I am privelaged to lead and serve with every day at Fort Johnson, LA. What these public servants manage to accomplish daily for the Soldiers, families, civilians and retirees that live, work, and play on this installation is simply amazing. During crisis or bad weather when everyone else goes home, they come to work and do so with a smile on their face and they do it to protect this community and preserve mission readiness. They are simply put, dedicated, caring, and loyal professionals to this nation and Army! Grateful to stand next to them each and every day!

This Public Service Recognition Week, I'm reflecting on the profound impact of clear communication in our collective efforts to build stronger, more cohesive power of clear communication in building stronger communities. Public servants are united in a common mission regardless of our level (quasi-governmental, local, county, state, or federal). We work together on all levels, on the same team, towards shared goals. We listen actively and speak plainly by ditching jargon for clear, concise language everyone can understand. We ask open-ended questions to encourage transparent and specific responses instead of making assumptions. We give everyone a voice, fostering open dialogue where everyone feels heard and valued. We follow up to deepen connections with one-on-one conversations in the community and with our colleagues. We focus on common ground, seeking solutions that benefit everyone, not just a select few. We listen with empathy and understand people's needs and concerns to build trust and stronger relationships. I want to Thank my Outstanding Team Lead Ersan Elmas, he has been extremely dedicated to his team and is always available to assist his team members. He is the epitome of a true outstanding team member and makes working for the VA with all the high demand workload much easier. He has been there for me in times of high stress and I want to personally thank him for his dedication to his team and to our Veterans and for his hard work and dedication to our mission in taking care of Veterans.
